The texture on this coffee is similar to a rich tea with high quality milk chocolate and lemongrass. We were able to bring in about 60 pounds from this lot; which totaled around 600 pounds. This is incredibly small when we're talking about coffee. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis lot is from Ampary, in the Itasy region, grown by about 40 local producers and centrally processed by Ryan Kelley’s Madagascar Coffee Company. As with smallholders the world over, these coffee producers are cultivating coffee on tiny plots, less than two hectares in size, and inter-cropping with a mix of diversified agriculture including rice, maize, beans, cassava, local vegetables, avocados, citrus, and bananas. Even more so, in places with lack of infrastructure support like Madagascar, with climate crises and political instability.
