We finally found it! The perfect Sumatra Select Water Decaffeinated coffee. It is Fair Trade, Naturally Grown and is sourced from small farms in the Takengon region of Sumatra. Most farms are around 1/2 acre or less.

Flavor Profile

This decaffeinated coffee has is very smooth but with a dense body. It has notes of rich dark chocolate, molasses, with a light caramel finish.

 

Details

After selection, the green coffee is pre-soaked in water to expand the beans for caffeine extraction. The beans are then introduced to a solution concentrated with coffee solubles that extract the caffeine without extracting the coffee’s particular flavor. No chemicals are used in the extraction of the caffeine.
